Are patio heaters energy-efficient?

Patio heaters, specifically propane or natural gas heaters, are not considered energy-efficient compared to other heating options. These heaters consume a significant amount of fuel to generate heat and typically have low energy efficiency ratings. Additionally, electric patio heaters may be more energy-efficient than their gas counterparts, but they can still consume considerable electricity to operate. Hence, patio heaters are not the most energy-efficient choice for outdoor heating.
